MEI have a long-standing and on-going partnership with Hodder & Stoughton involving the production of textbooks over the whole secondary range, from Year 7 through to the end of Further Mathematics.

Three major series are involved, as well as the books for our intermediate Free Standing Mathematics Qualification. These may be purchased through MEI.

AS/A Level MEI Structured Mathematics

Years 12 & 13 

The MEI Structured Mathematics textbooks have been updated in line with the new specification for first teaching in September 2004. This is the third edition of these books.

Free Standing Mathematics Qualifications

Between GCSE and AS

• Foundations of Advanced Mathematics
• Additional Mathematics (published earlier this year)

GCSE Hodder Mathematics (2nd edition)

• Year 10 - Foundation 1, Intermediate 1, Higher 1
• Year 11 - Foundation 2, Intermediate 2, Higher 2
• GCSE in a Year

These books are designed for the MEI GCSE. There are three Teacher’s Resources, each covering one of the GCSE tiers.

Key stage 3 Formula One Maths

• Year 7 Student’s Books A1 and A2 .
• Year 8 Student’s Books B1 and B2.
• Year 9 Student’s Books C1, C2 and C3.

This course is designed to encapsulate the ideas of the National Strategy. The higher numbered books are designed for more talented students.  Each book is supported by a Practice book and by an extensive Teacher’s Resource. 

The series is also supported a set of three books written for Basic Skills level learners.

The Teacher's Resource book for Gold A is in print, those for Gold B and C are due in the autumn of 2004.
