Live Online Professional Development for MEI Teachers

Posted: 30/11/2011

If you have never tried an online course why not try one of these? The sessions are led by experienced teachers and are easy to access via a link that is sent to you and all participants are given an introductory session so that they are confident with the online classroom. The sessions are all recorded and the recording is sent to the participants so if you can’t make a session due to another commitment, you can catch up in your own time.

In the Spring term we will be offering two online courses especially for MEI teachers:

In early February we will be doing two 90 minute sessions for C3 coursework; the first, on Monday 6th February: 1630 – 1800 will cover the aims and requirements of the coursework, introducing coursework to students and use of technology; the second, on Monday 20th February: 1630 –1800 will look at assessing the coursework.

The will also be a course of 8 sessions for teachers of Decision Maths 2. This will cover the content of the topics in the syllabus with advice on teaching, resources and preparing students for the examination.

For more information about these and our other online courses please go to the LOPD page where you will be able to access the information and fill in an online booking form. If you have any questions or want to suggest other support that MEI can offer online please contact Sue de Pomerai (sue.depomerai@mei.org.uk).
