Texas Instruments Texas Instruments is dedicated to improving learner opportunities by supporting the appropriate use of ICT in the classroom. Research underpins the development of our solutions including personalised learning platforms and professional development.
We provide a wide range of advanced classroom tools that enable learners and teachers to interactively explore maths and science. Our learning tools and services are designed with teachers to meet the evolving needs of the classroom. Connecting the classroom experience with real-world applications, TI technology includes a wide range of handheld technology, computer software and data-logging and analysis tools.
Our most recent development TI-Nspire(tm) technology, includes a revolutionary handheld device, suite of software and wireless classroom system that all provide a great way of getting ICT into learners' hands with all of the applications needed for the mathematics classroom - spreadsheet, data and statistics, graphs, dynamic geometry and a calculator.
A unique advantage of TI-Nspire lies in the dynamic linking of the applications, allowing for just the style of teaching that the revised National Curriculum demands - multiple representations of problems that allow exploration and analysis, interpretation and communication. Pages can be split so learners can investigate how changes are reflected in different representations.
The TI-Nspire(tm) Navigator(tm) system provides lots of new opportunities for wireless connectivity in the classroom with instant feedback and the opportunity for learners to share work with their peers, in a way controlled by the teacher, encouraging pupils to discover and develop mathematics for themselves.
Additionally, we work closely with the T3 (Teachers Teaching with Technology(tm)organisation, which has delivered professional development for mathematics and science teachers since 1992. In addition to offering a range of CPD opportunities, T3 members also support research and pilot projects, author books and create and share a wide range of activities on topics for secondary level and above. T3 is an international organisation, and sponsorship from Texas Instruments enables T3 to deliver free courses and materials.
