News: 3-6-9-12 consultation update

QCA convened a meeting on June 4th involving themselves, representatives of the awarding bodies and members of the mathematics community. There was unanimous opposition from the mathematicians to the proposal for multiple-unit grading and as a result QCA have decided that Mathematics and Further Mathematics will continue to be awarded as separate AS and A Levels. It will also be the case that it will continue to be possible to change specification for Further Mathematics.
