News: FSMQ Additional Mathematics Professional Development Course

A 1-day professional development course on FSMQ Additional Mathematics. 

This course is appropriate for:

  • Teachers teaching the course for the first time from September ‘08
  • Teachers considering using the qualification and would like to find out more information about it
  • Teachers who have taught the qualification before but would like some more teaching ideas

Please note that this course is about the FSMQ in Additional Mathematics that is an extension to GCSE and not the second GCSE in Mathematics (also called Additional Mathematics) that is currently being piloted in some areas.

Expected Learning Outcomes – participants will learn or be reminded of:

  1. The mathematical content of the Additional Maths free standing maths qualification (FSMQ)
  2. The Additional Maths resources available to support teaching and learning
  3. The assessment of Additional Maths

Event Process - this session will include:

  1. Opportunities to develop knowledge of the mathematical content
  2. Resources to take back to the classroom and use immediately
  3. Opportunities to have your questions answered

One year’s access to the online resources included in the price! 
The course fee of £150 includes one year’s access to the online resources for your Maths department plus 35 students. (Usual cost of subscription £50).
